INPUT FROM PHMA MEMBERS REGARDING

 

ZERO DUTY ON KEY RAW MATERIALS USED BY TEXTILE SECTOR

 

Cost effective raw materials play a vital role in the production and particularly in export products to make them competitive and the Association  have always emphasized on import of cost effective raw materials used by Textile Sector. Such a demand was raised during Senate Standing Committee on Textile Industry held on 01-12-2016.

 

Federal Minister for Commerce has desired that such raw materials imported may be indicated, on which tariff can be reduced to enhance exports or add value to the exportable products, if found feasible.

 

Members are therefore, requested to please provide input on subject matter and indicate HS Codes with Justification on Top Priority Basis.
