LTO Karachi Attaches Bank Accounts

 

 

KARACHI: Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), Karachi has attached all bank accounts of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) under Section 48 of the Sales Tax Act 1990 to recover Rs 23 billion pending sales tax.

 

According to the details, the tax department had successfully recovered Rs 312 million through bank account attachments. The default amount of the sales tax has been confirmed by the Appellate Commissioner (Appeals).

 

The LTO, Zone Enforcement-II has made recovery possible through bank accounts attachment under section 48 of the Sales Tax Act 1990.
