Subject: FBR INSTRUCTIONS – TIMELINE FOR PROCESSING OF FASTER DEFERRED REFUND CLAIMS

  

Dear PHMA Members,

 

With the continuous efforts and follow-up by PHMA, FBR has issued instructions dated 28 August 2026 regarding the “Timeline for Processing of FASTER Deferred Refund Claims.”

 

FBR has prescribed specific stage-wise timelines for processing and finalization of deferred refund claims, with the objective of clearing pending claims and avoiding unnecessary delays. These timelines cover submission of required documents, objection memos, verification, processing, sanction, and issuance of Refund Payment Orders (RPOs) / Show Cause Notices, where applicable.

 

Members are requested to review the attached FBR instructions and take note of the prescribed timelines and requirements.

 

FBR Letter dated 28 August 2026 is attached for information and necessary action.
