FBR field offices to remain open on 25th

our correspondent

KARACHI: All the field units of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will remain open on Saturday, February 25, as normal working day to facilitate the taxpayers in submission of returns and taxes, a notification said on Wednesday.
All the field units of the revenue body would also remain open late till 10.00pm on Wednesday, February 29, (being last day of the month), the notification added.
The State Bank of Pakistan and the National Bank of Pakistan are to provide banking facility by the designated branches on Saturday February 25 and keep the designated branches open till 10.00pm on February 29 to accept payment of duty and taxes.
Earlier, the FBR had ordered all the Model Customs Collectorates to remain open on Saturday, February 25, as a normal working day in order to facilitate the trade and industry in getting their cargo cleared for imports and exports.
