We are pleased to inform you that The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date for payment of taxes/duty and filing of sales tax and federal excise returns up to August 24 and August 27, respectively. In this connection, the FBR has issued instructions to its Chief Commissioners of Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) here on Tuesday. 

According to FBR''s instructions, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act 2005, the Board has extended the date of payment of taxes and filing of sales tax returns for all registered persons.
