Consequent to the Press Conference of Value Added Textile Export Sector held on 28th February, 2013 at PHMA House, Karachi, we are attaching herewith several Press Clippings dated 1st March, 2013 on the harsh steps of FBR to withdraw the Zero Rating Regime on the five Export Oriented Sectors and oncoming imposition of 2% Sales Tax at each stage on the Textile Sector as well as on import of plant and machinery and the draconian 5% withholding tax at import stage on import of plant and machinery and raw material covered by the Sales Tax Zero Rated Regime with S.R.O.140(I)/2013 dated 26-02-13 and S.R.O.98(1)/2013 dated 14-02-2013.
