Genuine exporters? E-Forms being misused for smuggling of Narcotics

Consequent to meeting with Director General, Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force, Brig. Abuzar, today, 23^rd October, 2013, it was revealed that several of the exporters? E-Forms were being misused for smuggling of Narcotics out of Pakistan. The modus operandi being stealing of E-Form by the staff of the exporters unit with the connivance of clearing and forwarding agents and bank staff and passing it to dubious persons who misuse such E-Form for shipping Narcotics along with goods. There have been several such cases without the genuine exporter knowing about this.

In view of the above all our member exporters are advised to print their companys? name on the E-Form as well as print the description of goods with H.S. Code. Moreover, member exporters are also advised to maintain a log book of all E-Forms issued by them.

Members are advised to comply strictly with the above for smooth clearance of their containers meant for shipment.
