DUTY FREE IMPORT OF MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT FOR TEXTILE SECTOR

 

 

We are pleased to inform all our valued members that the Federal Government has allowed duty free import of machinery & equipment for the textile sector under Fifth Schedule to the Custom Act 1969 (Part-IV).  Relevant pages of the schedule are attached.

 

Earlier, this facility was available under SRO-809(I)/2009 dated 19th Sep 2009 which is no more effective (rescind vide SRO-478(I)/2016 dated 24th June 2016).

 

Under the new arrangement, valued Member exporters of Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association will continue to  import machinery & equipment without payment of Customs Duty.
